What is SayShea?
SayShea is the playground of Web Designer Shea Cooper (Shea rhymes with May. or Say). This site features my design portfolio, as well as tips & tricks about web design and internet related topics. I’m a self-taught professional web designer, who has been designing and building websites since 2001.
Skills
I am pretty darn good at Photoshop CS3, Dreamweaver CS3, typography, design layout, GUI design, image manipulation, W3C web standards, basic SEO, XHTML coding, CSS, form interactions, semantics and cross browser issues, and accessibility. I’m knowledgable in Illustrator, Flash, InDesign, PHP, JavaScript, and MySQL databases.
I enjoy being a part of all aspects of the design process, from project conception to the final launch and then the maintenance stage. I’m constantly reading and browsing the web for the latest in web design trends, and am an active member in several professional design groups so that I can keep myself updated with the most current styles and standards. I’ve designed traditional websites, content managed websites, ecommerce websites, and have worked with agencies on a number of Fortune 500 clients such as PepsiCo, Quaker Oatmeal, Quaker Oats, Quaker Simple Harvest, Life Cereal, Near East, Rice-A-Roni, Lionel Trains, and more.
